New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Karnataka and Goa on 28th November, where he will take part in a series of religious and cultural programs.
Udupi Visit
At around 11:30 AM, the Prime Minister will arrive at Sri Krishna Matha in Udupi, Karnataka. He will join the Laksha Kantha Gita Parayana, a large-scale devotional event where nearly one lakh participants—including students, scholars, monks, and devotees—will recite verses from the Srimad Bhagavad Gita together.
During his visit, Modi will also inaugurate the Suvarna Teertha Mantapa, situated in front of the Krishna sanctum, and dedicate the Kanaka Kavacha, a golden cover for the sacred Kanakana Kindi—the window through which saint Kanakadasa is believed to have had a divine vision of Lord Krishna.
Sri Krishna Matha, founded more than 800 years ago by Sri Madhvacharya, remains a significant center of the Dvaita Vedanta tradition.
Goa Visit
Later in the day, at around 3:15 PM, the Prime Minister will travel to Canacona, South Goa, to participate in the 550th-year celebrations of Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math, also known as Sardha Panchashatamanotsava.
As part of the program, Modi will unveil a 77-foot bronze statue of Lord Ram at the Math premises. He will also inaugurate the newly developed Ramayana Theme Park Garden, release a special postal stamp and commemorative coin, and address the gathering.
About the Math
The Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math is recognized as the first Gowd Saraswat Brahmin Vaishnava Math. Rooted in the Dvaita philosophy established by Jagadguru Madhvacharya in the 13th century, the Math is headquartered in Partagali, South Goa, along the banks of the river Kushavati.
