PM Modi will dedicate Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway to nation on 12 March

New Delhi : PM Narendra Modi will dedicate the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway to the nation tomorrow, on March 12, 2023.

The 118 km long project has been developed at a total cost of around Rs 8478 crores. It will reduce the travel time between Bengaluru and Mysuru from around 3 hours to about 75 minutes.

Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Nitin Gadkari shared this Expressway stunning pictures few days back. ‘Connecting cities, Accelerating progress, Building a brighter future with Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway,’ he said.

The construction of the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, which encompasses a portion of NH-275, also entails the development of four rail overbridges, nine significant bridges, 40 minor bridges, and 89 underpasses and overpasses.

This ambitious project aims to improve accessibility to regions such as Shrirangapattana, Coorg, Ooty, and Kerala, thereby bolstering their tourism potential.

The 118 Km long Bengaluru Mysuru Expressway is featuring 6 main carriageway lanes and 2 service road lanes on either side, developed at a cost of ₹8478 Cr as part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said, From 2014 to 2023, the government has infused ₹2 lakh crores towards the building of the National Highways in the State of Karnataka.
