New Delhi : On Constitution Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored the visionaries who drafted India’s Constitution, describing their foresight as a guiding force in the nation’s journey toward building a Viksit Bharat (developed India).
Addressing the occasion, the Prime Minister highlighted that the Constitution places the highest value on human dignity, equality, and liberty. He reminded citizens that while the document grants rights, it also entrusts them with responsibilities that must be carried out with sincerity. These duties, he said, form the backbone of a strong and vibrant democracy.
Reaffirming the country’s collective resolve, Shri Modi urged people to uphold and strengthen constitutional values through their actions, thereby contributing to national progress and unity.
In a message shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister wrote:
“On Constitution Day, we pay tribute to the framers of our Constitution. Their vision and foresight continue to motivate us in our pursuit of building a Viksit Bharat. Our Constitution gives utmost importance to human dignity, equality and liberty. While it empowers us with rights, it also reminds us of our duties as citizens, which we should always try to fulfil. These duties are the foundation of a strong democracy. Let us reiterate our commitment to strengthening Constitutional values through our actions.”
