Nitish Kumar Takes Oath as Bihar Chief Minister for Record 10th Term Amid NDA Support

Patna, Bihar : In a historic political development, Nitish Kumar was sworn in today as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the tenth time. The ceremony took place at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, drawing a crowd of supporters and dignitaries. Leaders from across the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) attended, including Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis.

Kumar’s return to power follows a decisive win in the recent state elections, where the NDA secured a comfortable majority. His leadership is expected to focus on infrastructure development, education reform, and law enforcement modernization. Political analysts suggest this term could be pivotal in shaping the NDA’s strategy for the upcoming 2026 general elections.

The veteran leader emphasized unity and development in his inaugural speech, promising to prioritize youth employment, rural connectivity, and healthcare access. His alliance with the BJP remains strong, and the cabinet formation is expected to reflect a balanced power-sharing arrangement.
