POSHAN and PMMVY Get New Helpline Number 1515 Starting November 2025

New Delhi : Starting November 1, 2025, the Ministry of Women and Child Development will activate a new toll-free helpline number—1515—for beneficiaries of the POSHAN Abhiyaan and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY). This updated number replaces the existing helpline 14408, aiming to make access to support services simpler and more memorable for citizens.

Why the Change?

The Ministry introduced this change to enhance user convenience and streamline communication for individuals seeking assistance under the government’s flagship nutrition and maternity benefit programs. The new number is designed for easier recall and faster access to help.

Transition Period and Dual Access

During the initial rollout, users may experience brief connectivity issues. In such cases, callers are advised to continue using the old number 14408 until the transition is fully complete. Both numbers will remain operational temporarily to ensure uninterrupted support.

What the Helpline Offers

The helpline serves as a centralized contact point for:

  • Information on POSHAN and PMMVY schemes
  • Assistance with eligibility and benefits
  • Support for queries and grievances

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining smooth and responsive communication channels for all beneficiaries across India.
