CM Yogi Adityanath Inaugurates Seva Shakti Centers, Pays Tribute to Meera Bai, Valmiki, and D.P. Bora

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh:
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the ‘D.P. Bora Smriti Vyakhyanmala’, organized to mark the birth anniversaries of Maharshi Valmiki, Bhakt Meera Bai, and Late D.P. Bora’s 85th Jayanti.

During the event, held at Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil Auditorium (IET Lucknow), the Chief Minister virtually inaugurated 15 new Seva Shakti Kendras and unveiled the statue of Late D.P. Bora. He also felicitated women achievers for their exceptional contributions in education, literature, health, music, and social service.

CM Yogi highlighted that the Seva Shakti Kendras, supported by the D.P. Bora Smriti Samiti, represent a strong model of women empowerment and self-reliance, aligning with the objectives of Mission Shakti—a flagship initiative of the Uttar Pradesh government. So far, over 100 Seva Kendras have been successfully operating under this mission.

“The inauguration of Seva Shakti Kendras on the Jayanti of Meera Bai, the great devotee of Lord Krishna, is a fitting tribute to her spirit of devotion and equality,” said CM Yogi Adityanath. “These centers are inspiring examples of how women can lead society through self-reliance and skill development.”

The Chief Minister extended greetings on the occasion of Sharad Purnima, Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti, and Meera Bai Jayanti, describing the day as a celebration of devotion, knowledge, and social harmony.

He paid floral tributes to Maharshi Valmiki, Bhakt Meera Bai, and Late D.P. Bora, acknowledging Bora’s life-long struggle for justice. “Late D.P. Bora was a courageous leader, former legislator, and a relentless voice for the poor, oppressed, and marginalized. His dedication continues to inspire us,” said Yogi Adityanath.

The CM also appreciated Dr. Neeraj Bora for following his father’s path of public service. The event featured a poetic performance by noted poet Sarvesh Asthana, adding a cultural essence to the ceremony.

Yogi Adityanath emphasized that Meera Bai’s devotion to Lord Krishna and Maharshi Valmiki’s contribution to literature and spirituality continue to guide generations. He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to empowering women, promoting education, and preserving cultural heritage across Uttar Pradesh.
